I don’t know who told Calvin Harris about my obsession with him and Florence Welch, but “Sweet Nothing” is the closest thing to dance music perfection I could have expected from their collaboration. Florence Welch’s vocals are larger than life, and for some reason I was concerned that her voice wouldn’t work on such a mainstream, club-aimed pop song. From the first verse, all anxiety disappears as Flo’s vocals take you on an epic musical journey that will make your ears smile.

The song is taken of Harris’ upcoming album 18 Months, to be released 29 October. I have to say, if this song is any indication of what we can expect from the album, this is going to be massive. This comes from someone who rarely listens to DJs. This is definitely not only one of my favourite songs of the year, but one of the best.
