The Cape Town Nu World Festival is taking place between 17-18 July during Nelson Mandela Day Weekend. The festival promises to bring Cape Town together in a journey of musical discovery that spans the African continent and beyond. Festival headliners include the incomparable Simphiwe Dana, as well as the Spoek Mathambo-fronted Fantasma SA.

Native Young, Riky Rick and Majozi also made the cut. Keeping the DJ stage filled are Spoek vs Spoko, Dunkelbunt and Card On Spokes, and others. The festival includes workshops and talks led by various creatives. These are free to the general public, and will continue until the festival starts.

We love the diversity this event brings to Cape Town, and look forward to welcoming all the acts  to the City. Joburg won’t be left out of this one though. A one night only Jozi Nu World Festival is happening on 17 July at Bassline, Newtown. Tickets are available through webtickets. For more info on the CT event, visit their website or follow them on twitter.
